Dominique Torres Williams grew up in the Pleasant Grove area of Southeast Dallas raised by a single mother. She is a graduate of Skyline High School and started on her path toward higher education at Eastfield Community College. Dominique later transferred to the University of North Texas at Denton where she earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
Her mother is a second-generation Mexican American whose family moved to the United States from San Louis Potisu, Mexico, and her father is African American. Dominique’s paternal grandfather was a pastor and her father is a deacon at Good Street Baptist Church. Dominique’s heritage has given her a unique perspective that will bring diversity of experience to Dallas County Criminal Court 4.
Early on, Dominique developed an interest in law, government and justice, and she resolved early on in life that she wanted to be voice for justice and equality in her community. Dominique took this passion and enrolled in Texas A&M School of Law.
After earning her law degree, Dominique started her own firm, The Torres Law Office, P.C. She has now represented hundreds of clients in their fight for justice.
Dominique's involvement also extends outside of the courtroom. She is an active community advocate who has served on several nonprofit boards. She most recently served five years on the DART Board of Directors as a City of Dallas appointee.
Dominique is a lifelong Democrat and a sustaining donor of the Dallas County Democratic Party. She is married to Shawn Williams and they reside in Dallas with their two children.
